It is the goal of the Gateway District to be able to bring in 850 new boys to the Cub Scout Program through our Join Night efforts in 2010. Below are a list of resources that we have available to our volunteers to help us make this possible. 2010 Gateway Join Night Training -If you were not able to attend the training that was held on July 22 or you want to review the materials click here. 2010 Join Night Presentation - Here is the presentation that will be used for Join Nights in the Fall of 2010. Feel free to adapt the presentation to your Packs needs. Seven Methods of Invitation - We firmly believe that if a Pack will choose seven (or more) different methods of invitation to target potential Cub Scouts, it will have a significant impact on recruting results. Join Night Job Descriptions -Teamwork is vital - learn the roles of the School Coordinator/ Presentator, Cubmaster, and Committee Chairperson. Sample Boy Talks - Brush up on your Boy Talk Skills here. Scot and Chris are happy to help; where possible, we request a member of the Pack be present. 2010 Popcorn Sign-Up - Strong fundraising supports a strong program: Start the Scouting year strong with Trails-End Popcorn. JeffCo Schools Building Use Request Form - JeffCo School District provides free building use for the Cub Scout join nights. Make sure and not on the request form that the event is a join night.
For questions or further assistance, feel free to contact your District Executives: Chris Phipps or Scot Fuller.
